Since nobody is defending my dear ship in the discussion going on my dash I would like to contribute even though probably nobody wants me.

I don’t ship them simply because they bicker.I think they argue a lot because their personalities clash a lot, but most of it has to do with the fact they are teenagers who don’t really know how to deal with their feelings for one another. They have always cared deeply about one another, which is evident when you consider that for every time they’ve argued (and usually for trivial reasons, might I add, where usually nobody is really hurt) there is a time that balances it out when they’ve done something nice for one another or laughed and had a good time together. It might be a little moment like Hermione kissing Ron on the cheek to wish him good luck with Quid-ditch or Ron telling Hermione she is brilliant. Then the bigger things like Ron facing his worst fear to help Hermione in the second book or his screams and beating the wall as she is tortured (alkkj laksdlfkj). All of these things show me that they love each other despite not getting on at all times, and the balance to me is completley healthy. Particularly by the last book in which they have both developed great emotional maturity especially when it comes to love and have stopped fighting their feelings for one another. Before Deathly Hallows they were a cute, sometimes bumbling couple with good chemistry (“I’m tall,” is so adorable and so Ron and kdsflkjd cute), but the final book just cemented my love of them.

I kinda like that they can disagree sometimes, too. I think Hermione needs to be told that she is not always right (even though she is most of the time lol) and Ron also needs to be told off sometimes (Hermione being the best one to do this). Their bickering is not what endears me to them entirely, it’s just one element of their relationship. That’s not all there is to it.

ps. While we’re at it, I see Harry as asexual and just needing some parents. And Hermione is kind of like a mother hen towards him. So I’ll never ship them.
